A rare and exquisite singing bird box automaton clock.

 

A fine quality singing bird box automaton clock made in Switzerland in the mid 20th century. Both movement and case are in excellent condition. The mechanism is operating perfectly and the bird can be heard singing in full voice as it flaps its wings, wags its tail and turns from side to side while its beak opens and closes in perfect synchronization with its song. The clock keeps excellent time and is a rare feature to be found on a singing bird box. The bird box comes complete with its original bird shaped key.

 

Both the clock and bird box movements have been fully serviced and are operating perfectly.
